5 Styles for #shelfie Inspiration

This post is part of our “Your Space by Style & Grace” series, which showcases my solutions to your design problems.

Are you ready for some #shelfie inspiration? Well get ready, because I styled one shelf five different ways! My friends Chris and Christopher recently welcomed a baby boy into their family, and with a baby comes many changes! They had to rethink their spaces and find ways to use them more intentionally. They took a previously used office space and mounted a TV on the wall above it. Christopher said he was struggling to style the new arrangement on his own, and so he reached out to me for help!

I had a vision for a floating shelf to anchor the TV in the space. When I shared this idea, Christopher was having a hard time picturing it, but said, “Let’s try it!” I found these floating shelves at Target, but Christopher loves a good DIY project and had some scrap wood in his garage, so he volunteered to make the shelf himself.

Are you seeing my vision now? We all loved the shelf! And this is where the magic of styling comes into play. Using accessories that they already had, I put together five styling options for the space. Take a look at the options in the gallery below, and sound off in the comments on which one is your favorite!

They ended up asking for a combination of “Blue Books” and “Natural Neutrals,” and I happily put it together. Check out how it turned out below! If you want to create a similar look in your home, shop this post at the bottom of the page.
